What changes the price?

1. Vehicle size

A hatchback or small sedan sits at the starting price. SUVs, 4WDs, utes and people movers have more paint, more glass and more interior to work through, so they cost more. The booking form asks your vehicle type so the quote reflects it.

2. Condition

Pet hair, heavy staining, beach sand, mud and exterior build-up all add time. You'll see a few quick yes/no condition questions when booking — answer them honestly and your quote will be accurate. No surprises on the day.

3. How often you detail

A regularly maintained car is faster (and cheaper per visit) to keep beautiful than one that's been left for years. That's exactly what the monthly plans are for.

Monthly maintenance plans

The cheapest way to keep a car consistently clean. Members also unlock discounted add-on rates — Leather Care from $60 instead of $90 one-off.

Bronze — exterior upkeep

From $90/mo

Silver — interior & exterior

From $130/mo

Gold — the full works

From $170/mo

Car detailing cost FAQ

How much does car detailing cost in Brisbane?
With Hamish Auto Detailing, an interior detail starts from $120, an exterior detail from $99, a complete detail (interior and exterior) from $199, and the Complete Vehicle Refresh from $400. All prices are genuine starting prices — your exact quote is confirmed based on your vehicle's size and condition before the appointment, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why does the final price depend on vehicle size and condition?
A small hatchback takes far less time and product than a large 4WD or people mover, and a lightly used car is quicker to detail than one with pet hair, heavy staining, sand or mud. That's why prices are listed as 'from' — you answer a few quick questions when booking and the exact price is confirmed before your appointment.
How much is a monthly maintenance plan?
Monthly maintenance plans start from $90/month for Bronze (exterior upkeep), from $130/month for Silver (interior and exterior), and from $170/month for Gold (the full works). Members also get discounted add-on rates — for example Leather Care is $75 every 3 months on Silver instead of the $90 one-off rate. Plan pricing also varies with vehicle size.
How much do add-ons like leather care or an engine bay clean cost?
As a one-off, Leather Care starts from $90 and an Engine Bay Clean from $40. On a monthly maintenance plan, members pay less: Leather Care from $80 (Silver) or $60 (Gold) every 3 months, and Engine Bay Clean from $40 (Silver) or $30 (Gold) every 6 months.
Is mobile detailing more expensive than going to a shop?
Not here. Because the business is mobile, there's no showroom rent baked into the price — and you save the time and fuel of dropping off and picking up your car. I come to your home or workplace anywhere across North Brisbane with everything needed.
Is car detailing worth the money?
A proper detail protects your paint and interior surfaces, keeps the car healthier to sit in, and helps resale value when it's time to sell. Regular maintenance is almost always cheaper than letting grime, UV damage and stains build up and paying for a major correction later.
How often should I get my car detailed?
For most drivers, a full detail every 3–6 months with lighter maintenance in between keeps a car in great shape. If you have kids, pets, park outside, or drive daily, a monthly maintenance plan is the easiest way to stay on top of it — it's also the cheapest per-visit option.
Do I pay when I book or after the detail?
