Booking & Service Terms

These terms apply whenever you book a service with Hamish Auto Detailing ("I", "me", "my") through this website, by phone, text or in person. By confirming a booking you agree to the terms below.

1.Who I am

Hamish Auto Detailing is an owner-operated mobile detailing service based in Albany Creek, servicing Brisbane and Moreton Bay. All work is carried out by me personally. Contact: 0491 688 254.

2.Booking & confirmation

When you submit a booking, the time you select is your preferred time. I'll reach out to confirm the details and lock it in. A booking is only fully confirmed once I've replied to you. I reserve the right to decline or reschedule any booking that isn't suitable for the vehicle, location or conditions.

3.Water & power required

All mobile detailing services require access to a working outdoor water tap with hose connection and a standard 240V power outlet at the service location. If these aren't available on arrival, the detail cannot go ahead and a cancellation fee (see below) may apply.

4.Access, parking & safety

You are responsible for providing safe, legal off-street access to the vehicle — a driveway, carport or similar flat, shaded area is ideal. I may decline to work in unsafe locations (busy roads, slopes, no shade in extreme heat, unstable surfaces).

5.Vehicle condition & pre-inspection

Please remove personal items and rubbish before I arrive. I'll do a walk-around before starting and may note any pre-existing damage, heavy contamination or issues that fall outside the booked package. If the vehicle is significantly dirtier or larger than described, I may need to adjust the price or reschedule.

6.Pricing & quotes

Prices shown on the website and booking flow are estimates based on the vehicle size and package you select. Final pricing is confirmed on the day and may be adjusted for excessive dirt, pet hair, stains, oversized vehicles or additional add-ons. I'll always tell you before doing any extra work.

7.Add-ons

Optional add-ons (Leather Care, Engine Bay Clean) are only available on compatible services. Engine Bay Clean is a clean only — no dressing is applied.

8.Monthly Maintenance Plans

Monthly Maintenance Plans (Bronze, Silver, Gold) require at least one prior regular detail so I can establish a baseline. Plans continue month-to-month with no lock-in. You can pause, downgrade or cancel at any time by texting me. Plan add-ons (Leather Care every 3rd service, Engine Bay Clean every 6th service) are charged only in the service month they're performed.

9.Cancellations & rescheduling

Life happens — please give me as much notice as possible.
  • More than 24 hours notice: free to cancel or reschedule.
  • Less than 24 hours: a $30 cancellation fee may apply.
  • No-show or refusal of service on arrival (no water/power, no access, unsafe conditions): 50% of the quoted price is payable.

10.Late arrivals & running order

I do my best to arrive within the booked window. Traffic, weather and previous jobs can push things back — I'll text you if I'm running late. If you're not at the vehicle when I arrive I'll wait up to 15 minutes before treating it as a no-show.

11.Weather

Detailing is weather-dependent. In heavy rain, storms or extreme heat I may need to reschedule for your vehicle's safety and the quality of the finish. No fee applies to weather-based reschedules.

12.Pre-existing damage

Detailing exposes scratches, swirl marks, chips, dents, worn trim, faded plastics, stains and other pre-existing damage that may not have been visible when the car was dirty. I am not responsible for pre-existing damage that becomes more visible after cleaning.

13.Fragile items & modifications

Please let me know in advance about aftermarket wraps, PPF, ceramic coatings, matte finishes, aftermarket audio, dash cams, roof racks, loose trim, cracked glass or anything else that needs careful handling. I use products safe for standard OEM finishes; you accept normal risk on modified or damaged surfaces.

14.Products & techniques

I use professional-grade, pH-balanced products suitable for daily-driven vehicles. I do not perform paint correction, cutting or ceramic coating as part of the standard packages — those are quote-only specialist jobs.

15.Photography

I may take before/after photos for quality records and to share on social media or this website. Number plates may be visible in these photos unless you ask me not to show them. Personal items and other identifying details will not be shown. Let me know at booking if you'd prefer no photos are taken or shared.

16.Payment

Payment is due on completion by bank transfer, cash or card (surcharges may apply on card). Monthly plan invoices are sent after each service. Overdue amounts may pause your plan.

17.Refunds & re-do policy

If you're not happy with any part of the work, tell me before I leave and I'll re-do it on the spot where possible. Refunds are considered case-by-case and are not offered for pre-existing damage, issues raised outside a reasonable window after service, or areas outside the scope of the booked package.

18.Liability

I take reasonable care with every vehicle. To the extent permitted by law, my total liability for any single service is limited to the price paid for that service. I am not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

19.Third parties & keys

If someone else will meet me at the vehicle or hand over keys, please confirm this at booking. I'll only start work once I'm satisfied I have authority to service the vehicle.

20.Water usage & runoff

I use water responsibly and follow local water restrictions. You confirm that washing at the service location is permitted by any relevant body corporate, landlord or council.

21.Privacy

The details you submit (name, contact, address, vehicle info) are used only to service your booking and stay in touch. I don't sell or share your information. For full details on how personal information is collected, used and stored, see the Privacy Policy.

22.Communications

By providing your mobile number and email you consent to me contacting you about your booking and occasional service reminders. You can opt out of reminders at any time by replying STOP.

23.Service area

I service Brisbane and Moreton Bay. Locations outside this area may incur a travel surcharge or be declined.

24.Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force at the time you confirmed the booking. The current version is noted at the top of this page.

25.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute will be dealt with in the courts of Queensland.
